For years, I found that modern computer environments demanded more attention than I wanted to give them. Notifications, sidebars and visual clutter everywhere. The constantly competing information made it difficult to focus. And during a migraine attack, impossible.

I wanted something that could block out the unnecessary noise and bright interfaces. The “solutions” were scattered and clumsy to set-up and navigate. Dark modes, screen brightness, full screens, night-mode, font size. Buying monitors made for eye-care, terminal glasses, tinted glasses. But it was never quite right.

Then finally I started experimenting with simple overlays that could hide distracting parts of the screen, after that came filters covering the screen. The core of NordicVeil. And what began as a small overlay quickly grew to something more. Where everything is in one place and with you in control.

The goal is not to maximize productivity or squeeze more work out of people. It is simply to create calmer and adaptable digital workspaces that can be used even on a bad day.
